Well I agree to some of those like Burgundians, Norman’s but then too they don’t have a much of distinct identity. They can be represented by civs already in the game. Some of them were like Vassals such as the Normans to England. AoE2 has a logic of grouping similar nations together to form civs. We already have like 3 to 4 German civs in the game, why split Teutons further? doesn’t make sense to me. It is just a reasoning given in haste.
It was the reverse, England was vassalized by the Normans.
You know I am of the opinion that we should have at least 2 other Indian civs, but a bad argument is still a bad argument.
Ah okay sorry, I meant to say that the Normandy region and England region can both be represented by Britons in game.
So if that’s okay, why is it not okay for Indians?
You would also have Norman Sicily, which was both a military and economic powerhouse throughout a huge chunk of the Middle Ages.
India is a modern term Mr MatCauthon3. It is a huge number of cultures who are very diverse. Never a united entity in medieval era. It is the same as making only one European civ and calling it Romans, giving it a Celtic UU as first unique unit and Spartan Warrior as second UU. Would that be acceptable?
You will say do some justice divide European into East and West atleast, on the same scale divide India into North and South atleast.
And yet this game has never claimed to be historically accurate. Historically influenced? Yes. Accurate? Not even close. Which is what you guys want to ignore
Not us but you, I mean if you just care about gameplay then why should it matter to you what people are asking for historicity of the game? You know the game was labelled as a historical RTS. It depends on people on what element they find interesting in the game. Who are you to change what interests people in the game?
Empire Earth 3.
The worst Empire Earth game.
Yeah I heard about it once.
If Asians start making game, it is actually a possibility to see such things. I hope it never happens though.
And what changes are you proposing?
What do you mean?
I think it was developed in the West, by Rockstar.
There is another game that does it, Tzar: Burden of the Crown, but that one is pretty decent, and is mostly Fantasy based, so it can Afford having only Europeans, Arabs and Asians as the only civs, since they not only have huge normal unit rosters, but also magical unit rosters that are completely asymetrical.
I actually reccoment everyone try Tzar, specially the Reconquista Campaign with magical units.
It is just one of those thing you have to experience, if you know of it.
Keeping the game as it is except balance changes.
I bought DE because it was aoe2. I dont need to reinvent the wheel. I’m happy as is for the most part
That’s what I have been hearing you saying on all threads. A person with no new ideas, no knowledge of history, just here to jump into for some arguments.
You are happy with the game fine, but remember the game is evolving since 20 years. It is not the same game as it was when AoK was released.
As new people join in, new ideas will keep coming. Either you block everyone from joining the game, or block yourself from coming online. Stay satisfied the with the CD version released 20 years back.
Seriously why don’t you go play AoE2 CD or voobly, what is bad in it? You have your difficult game, stable performance, very strong fair AI(barbarian AI), good game balance, less number of units, less number of civs, no new content Everything as per your liking is in AoE2 CD/Voobly
Better question. Why do you feel its fair to change the game on everyone else?
I want to maintain the status quo. Youre the one who wants to change it.
Oh. And why do you thijk its fair to use the historical accuracy argument when you guys say nothing about all the other historical inaccuracy?
I will get nothing by arguing with you. I have already stated my points, don’t make me say it again.
Exactly, it definetly suits MatCauthon3 , from what I know about him till now, I can say this for sure.
You prove to me the majority of players want your complete redesign of the gamr and ill shut up about it. Until then, I’ll keep disagreeing with redesigning the game.

your complete redesign of the gamr
the other historical inaccuracy
I will also get nothing by arguing with you for the tenth time on this topic.
I too have already stated my points many times before, but you choose not to pay any heed.
The game has been “redesigned” many many times, if you don’t like it as you say, go play AoK 1995 version.
