Battle Royale - "Corruption" terrain plain black instead of lava-like

In Battle Royale mode, the so-called “Corruption” gradually consumes the map. Normally, it appears as dark red, lava-like and animated terrain.

But since a while, already before update 141935, it’s plain black and no longer animated.

It doesn’t matter whether I use maximum or minimum graphics settings. I also verified integrity of game files once, it didn’t fix the issue. I’m not using mods.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

Start a Skirmish game in Battle Royale mode.
Use the “marco” and “polo” cheats to reveal the map.
Watch the expansion of the Corruption, which appears as plain black terrain.

EXPECTED RESULT

The Corruption should appear as the dark red lava-like terrain again.
