ISSUE EXPERIENCED
DESCRIBE THE ISSUE IN DETAIL (below). LIMIT TO ONE BUG PER THREAD.
In the current 153638 build (and probably since the 153015 build), the Black Forest random map generation has not been consistently spawning the appropriate amounts of resources, leading to one or more players receiving less than the others. The potentially affects gold mines, stone mines, huntable animals, and occasionally ponds. See attached screenshots for examples. I tested this by starting four 3v3s with AIs and random civs; then with Capture Age, I watched the replays checked the number of specific resource units the map had generated. Every generation had at least one resource have missing spawns. To be clear, I am not describing a scenario where say every player got 3 deer instead of 4, but rather a scenario where one of the random players got 1 deer while the others got 3.
While I noticed this first in 3v3s, it does not appear to be limited to a specific number of players (though errors are presumably more likely the more players are included).

REPRODUCTION STEPS
List CLEAR and DETAILED STEPS we can take to reproduce the issue ourselves… Be descriptive!
Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:
- Start a Black Forest Random Map game with the appropriate map size and number of players. Let it run for a couple of seconds. Then quit.
- Load the replay. Capture Age is helpful for the counting process in the next step.
- Count the number of gold mines, stone mines, boar/equivalent, berry bushes, herdables, fish (if there are ponds), and chicken/deer/equivalent on the entire map.
- Which resource has some missing spawns varies from generation to generation, but I have checked at least 7 different generations and all of them have had at least one incomplete spawn.
EXPECTED RESULT
What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?
There should be the following resource counts per player.
- 18 gold mines (a 7 tile group, two 4 tile groups and then farther away from the starting location, a 3 tile group)
- 12 stone mines (a 5 tile group, a 4 tile group, and then farther away a 3 tile group)
- 4 boar or equivalent (2 separate around the TC and then a group of 2 farther away)
- 6 berry bushes (not counting the extra 2 if a player is Gurjaras)
- One of either 8 sheep/equivalent or 7 cows/water buffalo
- One of either a group of 6/7/8 chickens/hares or a group of 3/4 deer/equivalent
IMAGE
ALWAYS attach a PICTURE (.jpg, .png, .gif) or VIDEO (.mp4, YouTube link) that highlights the problem.
Notice here the lone central stone mine for the gray player. Their 5 tile mine is in top right and their 3 tile mine is along the bottom, so they are ultimately missing 3 stone mine tiles. Looking across the rest of the map, every other player has the full 12 stone mine tiles.
The game settings including the map seed. This was a 3v3 against the AI with players 1, 2, and 7 as humans. I have also seen this happen in at least 2 ranked games, one a 3v3 and the other a 2v2.
