Hi! I really like the design of the Malian Empire, but ever since the culverin was removed, it has left a bad aftertaste. Malian aesthetics are vibrant and unique: think the agile looking donso and javelin thrower , the distinct look of Musofadi Warriors, their slim architecture and the more modern looking handcannoneer. Their military feels agile and swift. The standard Bombard model is bulky, rugged, and visually quite generic across the civs that use it. Placed alongside the unique Malian units, it doesnt really match– a standard, heavy piece of equipment dropped into a visually distinct army. A Culverin model (ideally, perhaps even with slight Malian visual distinctions if the devs ever went that far, but even the standard Culverin model) offers a matching model to the rest of the army. Please bring back the culverin!
If once again, the Culverin becomes an artillery that isn’t a Bombard replacement, then what could happen is that an artillery called the Basilisk can become the new Bombard replacement for certain civs (including for HRE, OOTD, and Abbasids).
