Bronze Age civs vs Medieval civs?

Since Pandora’s Box has been opened with The Three Kingdoms, why not go to the next level? Why not civilizations from the Bronze Age fighting ones from the Medieval period?

We could even have Bronze Age Egypt vs the Franks. All sorts of madness. Or an even older civilisation, the Sumerians vs the Franks.

If you think about mixing AOE1 and AOE2, you’d need completely rebalancing AOE1 units as they would be massively overpowered.

They would probably not be allowed in ranked in some cases.

It’s possible that will be slammed shut. And hopefully the demons unleashed shoved back in.

You know what’s an even better idea? Having Bronze Age civs with medieval units and viceversa. Just picture it: Egyptians with a hand canoneer unique unit, fighting the Swiss, who have a chariot archer UU.

Even then, the balance would be bad…

Full upgrade centurion in AOE1 : 160 hp, 30+7 attack, 8+6 melee armour, faster, attacks faster & similar cost (60f 40g) to the TK.

Angels, not demons, but I’m picturing the face-melting scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark and how it ended.

These are surprisingly medieval. Not gonna lie

Whatever. We have Eastern Roman Empire and Western Roman Empire. Just add the Unified Roman Empire, pre 395
