Bug and question: playtesting a scenario, units do not follow commands

  • Game Version: v.100.18.9861.0

  • Build Number: (534149R)

  • Platform: Steam

  • Operating System: Windows 10

Issue:

I have a bug to report and thus a question, i have a scenario in Retold that i’ve been working on for a long time. And when i playtest it alone or in multiplayer th following happens: The units in this map seem to lagg when i command them. For example when i want a unit to explore and i give it shiftclick commands over terrain or blackfog, and if the distance is too long it will stop all its actions and the commandflags disappear. Or if i want to task a villager to something else that is further away than a distance comparable to a granary. It will also halt and and the commandflag goes down. The only thing that works is shiftclicking on short distances, about the range of 3 of 4. If you click a unit to do something at a rang further away it will just cancel all the commands. Does anyone have experience with this?

Another thing similarly that happened was; i select a building, the trainflag i put it a bit further away so the units walk to there when trained. But if the location is too far i get a message in screen: Failed to train unit … .

Trigger Event:

Playtesting a scenario and all units inside do not accept commands to places or objects far away. For example a distance longer than a granary or storehouse. They abruptly stop and all commandflags (with shiftclick) disappear. Thus the unit becomes idle.

This has been solved.
Solution:

  • Download Nottuds triggerpack in mods.
  • Make a new trigger in your scenario. Give it the effect: “Display: Refresh Command Panel”.

Then it should work properly again.
