[BUG] AOE IV cannot connect to the server

Issue:

Since I installed the Yue Fei’s Legacy DLC, AOE IV can no longer connect to the server to play online. The connection icon is crossed out and hovering over it displays a message telling me to go to the notification panel to reconnect. However, the notification panel is empty. Yesterday I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and it worked — at least until the match started freezing after about 1 hour of gameplay. Today I launched the game again and same problem, no connection. What should I do?

The problem is not coming from my PC since my wife is experiencing the same issue on her computer. We played together yesterday and she had no trouble apart from the shared freeze at the end of the match. Today her AOE IV won’t connect either.

I ran a Steam file integrity check: OK
My specs: Intel Core i9 12900KF, 32GB DDR5, 1TB NVMe SSD, GeForce 5060Ti

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.

I have once again uninstalled and reinstalled the game. It still won’t connect… I should also mention that my firewall is disabled.

Same error at home. 2 can connect, but another computer doesn´t, seems servers are overloaded.

Yes, I have the same problem. And we didn’t like the new ranked match maps at all.
