[BUG] V&C Ragnar: Villager issues with resources and resource buildings

First encountered on May 5th 2025

In the Victors & Vanquished Campaign scenario Ragnar, I encoutered the following issues with the Villagers.
When villagers build a resource building, the first Villager continue the building animation when completed, and all Villagers that were building do not move to gather the resource but go idle.
When manually tasked on a resource that is not herdables, only that tile is gathered and the Villager goes Idle. E.g. a Lumber camp is construced, the first Villager continues to build. After manually tasking them on wood they gather only one (1) tree and then go Idle. The same with Fish.

The only exception I found was with Herdables where the Villagers would go to the next after depleting the current Sheep, Cow or Pig.

Troubleshooting done:
I have checked other scenarios and Skirmish, this is the only scenario this happens.
I have checked my game file integrity.
I have done a full clean re-installion of the game, but the issue persisted.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Start the Ragnar campaign scenario.
  2. Task a Villager to build a resource building and wait for it to be completed.
  3. Task a Villager to gather Wood or Fish and wait for that tile to be depleted.

:backhand_index_pointing_down: What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?
After construction of a resource building the Villager should start gathering that resource. After the first tile is depleted it should go to the next tile.

Small update: I have now installed the 3Kingdom DLC, directly after installing the DLC, the Villagers were still bugged (continued building animation).
After I tasked them on Woord, they did automatically continue to the next tree after the first one was depleted.
However, when I restarted the game the Villagers stopped collecting wood after the first tree was depleted and returned to Idle.

Same with Villagers building the Longhouse (Folwark), the building animation was continued after the building was completed.
