After the new patch there is a new feature where the UI shows as Red for units/buildings you cannot afford and yellow for Units/Buildings you are at the build limit for.
This contrasts with the old behavior where Red meant you are at the build limit and there was no yellow.
I think this UI feature has good intentions but currently it’s a bit confusing to see Bright Red highlights over say a villager when you are missing ~5 food to build them. Missing resources to me means ‘slow’ not ‘unavailable’ as red implies. Conversely Yellow highlight does not make a ton of sense if you are hard capped from building more of a certain thing. I think inverting this color scheme would be more intuitive for users, especially given we have played the game for 8 months where red meant ‘this is locked’
Additionally even if the color scheme is to stay as, the Red highlight is a bit distracting when what the player would want to focus on is the units they CAN build rather than highlighting brightly the ones they cannot. It can be overwhelming to highlight almost all the units in the menu when you are low on resources.
