Campaign Technology Bug

  • Game Version: Latest

  • Build Number: 16495610

  • Platform: Steam

  • Operating System: Windows 11

Issue:

(please provide a detailed description of the issue)
(use the upload button image to include a picture or video of the issue in action if possible)

Since there now is a Ludicrous difficulty, I went back to the Campaigns and noticed this following bug.
Some technologies disappear and thus cannot be researched in the Campaigns after loading a save file.

As you can see some armory techs are gone, other techs include economic techs.

Trigger Event:

(what was happening at the time of the performance/stability issue)
(this could be an action you or another player took right before the issue started)

Load a save file of any of the Campaign scenarios.

Repro Steps:

  1. Play a Campaign Mission and save.
  2. Load the savegame.
  3. Some unresearched technologies disappear.

Other technologies affected include Architects and all unit upgrades in the barracks and Migdol except levy and conscript. I have checked and this affects ALL difficulties in the Campaign.

I found a fix, you can delete an Egyptian house to make the technologies come back. Haven’t tested other campaign scenarios (I’m only at Isis Hear My Plea).

Update: deleting the Pharoah also makes the techs come back.
Update:ejecting relics also work.

They eventually show up after a while for me it’s like the game is slow to load up everything, but it lets you still play anyways while it catches up with the technologies loading up to be researchable.

Now the gold cost of armory techs is all wrong.

Hi @FE_Yorkie and other devs, I was just wondering if you guys can reproduce this bug and it’s not just affecting a few people atm. Thanks.

Same issue for me - is it a bug?

Definitely not something intentional, so yes… it’s a bug. I’m just wondering if it’s affecting a lot of people or just a few.
