So closed teamgame map that isn’t based on trees, no fish boom, team starts together. Just 1 or 2 big chokepoints somewhere between the 2 teams.
Examples of such map are Jotunheim | Age of Empires Series Wiki | Fandom from Age of Mythology or Mountain Pass | Age of Empires Series Wiki | Fandom from AoE4 (1 choke point). In these games the maps are very popular in noob or bot games.
For those who haven’t played these maps: No onager wood cutting, just one big teamfight. Difference to Amazon tunnel would be the chokepoint being much shorter, so any progress you make is visible, teams having much more space to build, and the chokepoint not being skippable with onagers. It allows you to basically setup undisturbable trade route.
Randomly generating another chokepoint sometimes is fine too. It won’t be very strategical, but just fighting without worrying about 100 paladins showing through a treeline can be so much fun.
