They look leftover from AoE 4. They are confusing for new players.

There are actually some more like that which don’t match the normal AoM art style of the rest of the UI buttons. I hate it and wish it was changed to match the normal AoM art style.

I like them.
I also like that they look different compared to building/unit icons so you can clearly immediately see what is an action and what is training/building a unit/building.
They could have done that separation in a different way too like adding a border around all the buttons but I think this looks fine.
Also the Bronze looking icons fit well into the setting.

They don’t look good. You also can’t tell what they are at first glance. They also don’t match the other icons in the game and look so out of place.
