Hi, after the new update and the new dlc often i can save only on a new bunch save; when i try to overwrite a previous save the game simply does not save, without any message of error; anyone has this issue?

:point_down: How often does the issue occur? CHOSE ONE; DELETE THE REST!

  • 50% of the time / matches I play (FREQUENTLY)

  1. Tryng of saving a game on a previous save
  2. Appears the warning of subscribing a previous save
  3. Game tryng to save but the original file remains untouched

The old game file should be subscribed with the new one.

Did you play the PUP before the new DLC was released? There is a known issue regarding a file, deleting this specific file could fix the issue.
Try deleting this file(backup it first, just in case) PupPlayer.nfp, you can find it here: C:\Users\USER\Games\Age of Empires 2 DE\ID\profile

I’m having this same problem. Game isn’t overwriting the saves.

  • GAME BUILD #: 101.102.31440.0 (#96976) 12626487
  • GAME PLATFORM: Steam
  • OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows 11 Home Edition

I don’t have PupPlayer.nfp in my folders. I’m playing the campaigns. Have not played any multiplayer.
This happens 100% of the times.
