For some strange reason i can’t enable voice chat in game on pc version AOE2 de. It’s not even an option on the audio/voice settings. My microphone works on steam and pc in general. And i have voice chat enabled on AOE4 on pc with no problems. Iv’e also updated drivers on pc and xbox has permission on privacy settings. Any ideas of how to correct this so i can talk to my friends online would be much appreciated. Many Thanks
That’s not actually a technical issue – voice chat just isn’t available in the PC version of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition. For whatever reason, the developers only included it on console versions, not on PC. If you’re looking to chat with friends while playing, I’d recommend using Discord, TeamSpeak, or Steam voice chat as good alternatives. Hope that helps!
