Can't sign into Xbox live

Clicking the sign in button triggers the “sign in, please wait” alert but doesn’t actually sign in even after 10 minutes. I have cleared the cache, restarted my computer, and reinstalled the game.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Open the game
  2. Click the Xbox live icon
  3. Wait to be signed in for 15 minutes without result

The game signs into xbox live within a minute

Have you been able to sign in to XBL before?

What could help is if you were to sign into XBL on the Windows Store/Xbox Companion App/Xbox App with the account associated with your Steam account, then launch the game and try again.

Hi!!
The same thing happened to me when I had just formatted my pc, it turned out that I had to install " WebView2 Runtime" from Microsoft Edge to be able to log in to AoE 3 DE :slight_smile: .

ps:
It would be great if the devs consider a feature to be able to log in automatically or have it already saved when you log in just once, similar to AoE 1, 2 and 4,
It’s a bit tedious having to click the xbox button to link the account every time you launch the game. :stuck_out_tongue:

I had already logged in to the Xbox App, both before I reinstalled the game and after.
