The current skin is a such attempt, to look similar to this one here; besides the current skin’s helmet which is an attempt to look similar to that of the original aoe2 skin rather than being historically accurate. Which is a shame, especially since the original DE Cata already was wearing the historically accurate helmet and it was changed a little later.
Also, current Cataphract bears the ☧ symbol on its shield, the christogram.
PS: Change Centurion’s skin to (again) it’s original DE (scenario editor) skin, that of Centurion of the late Western Roman Empire. Current 1st century’s Centurion is an atrocity.
To me it looks very similar to the new Imperial Cavalry skin, so maybe you/someone else could mod Cataphracts to use that skin?
