Centaurs and Poseidon are still way too strong after the patch

Poseidon is still overpowered. There’s a reason he has the highest win rate and is the most played god. Centaurs were barely nerfed at all. They are a broken unit in all Ages. #1 Ranked player in the game just complained about it on stream. Hippeus+Centaur spam is too strong. Then you can add in Prodromos to kill any anti-calv that might stop it. Very annoying that an Age 2 myth unit can be that dominating.

Add a channel time to the Centaur special ability. They need some serious nerf.

Yes, the special attack damage is too big, the duration too long, the area to big. The regeneration time of the special attack is way too short. It just needs nerfs in every way and will still be good. At first ist destroys your eco then your units. The centaur is very hard to catch. You need a ton of skill to counter that but it is a frustrating match against centaur…

Well, I think the nerfs to centaur, heroes and favour gain were reasonably high. I imagine Poseidon winrate dropping at least 2%, maybe 5% if you take into account all the buffs Ra/Atlantean got. Better take it slow than completely butcher the unit.

Of course I would have at least like to have seen Prodromos get some adjustments, since it is nigh impossible to invest into any cavalry against greek.

Patch did not address properly what needed to be addressed and Poseidon centaurs is one of those problems. Hopefully the devs will come back to fix stuff soon enough.

  • Centaur nerf was not enough, Centaurs is too oppressive, especially coupled with cavalry;
  • Ancestors + Eclipse remains too strong;
  • Meteor wasn’t addressed;
  • Nidhogg is probably the worst mythic age god power in the game;
  • Valley of Kings is too strong;
  • Chaos godpower is stupidly strong for a heroic god power;
  • They overbuffed atlanteans.

I really wish they would just restore the original Centaurs with the single aimed shot. They just felt better.

I think they need one change:
0 bonus damage vs. Camel Riders.

Camels should always counter horse cavalry, even counter cavalry. This applies to all potential future cavalry too.
This would make Egyptians a lot better against Greeks allowing them to use their Migdol units.

This would also directly buff the currently weakest god against the currently strongest. (At last before the patch stats)

Atlanteans and Norse both have a Infantry counter cavalry with massive bonus damage so they already have a hard counter against them.
Also both don’t rely that much on cavalry in the first place.

The problem is that I think they didn’t targetted well the centaur nerf. They should loose damage for each special ability used in the same area, because the main problem is how much damage it can deal when you have many of them. I think if they do this nerf the centaur will be fine and they can revert the bonus against hero to 0.5 and reduce the cost.
