New Cataphract Model for Byzantine and call it Byzantine Cataphract, Cataphract is just heavily armored cav and many civilizations used it. Cataphract should have Spears and should have a range of 1.5 tiles. Byzantine Cata can throw javelins or switch to a bow and be ranged. Savars can use spears and get increased range.
Imperial age paladin for For french should be a Gendarme
Paladin should be kept for others western civ as the main Mounted heavy Cav in imperial age.
Rus roster should be modified for Kiev Rus with Druzhina, Junior Druzhina and Cav archers. The current Boyars ain’t suiting the civ well.
A new Empire called Timurid Empire should be added.

No no no. Please not these changes. I don’t want too many fundamental changes to AoE2. It would end up like AoE3 and 4, and we don’t need that. Cataphract for Byzantines will still be called “Cataphract” because by the medieval era, Cataphracts became mostly exclusive to the Byzantine Empire. Perhaps, more appropriate changes would be giving the Knight Line (including being able to upgrade to the Paladin), Parthian Tactics, and Arbalester to the Jurchens and removing the Cannon Galleon from the Khaitans (since there’s definitely no need to have more than one civ that has access to the Cannon Galleon, but not the Galleon). Jurchens should also be given their own dialogue instead of speaking the same one as the Chinese.
