You’re wrong! 2 villagers on wood will cost you almost 80 res per minute HOWEVER this will not put you behind on age up like you’re thinking. Technically it will not be the fastest feudal age up time but I’m talking being behind by 20s-40s slower on age up not minutes?? And what’s the point of a naked fast feudal IFF you don’t know how to defend against BBQ/TR?? What are you rushing to feudal to do?? Dark Age by design IS NOT meant to be safe?? or FREE? Defend yourself at all times ESPECIALY vs KNOWN TR factions?

80 resources per minute is a very big deal in the early game

You state win game in 4 mins which would categorize as 5min win which is still lower than 50% winrate. So your statement is irrelevant and not even par with statistics.

the argument is NOT “how much is 80 res/min ?” The argument is “is 80 wood/min early WORTH being 20-40s delayed on age up?” And the use of that 80 wood/min is WASTED? A Tower or wall segments that keeps your villagers from being dead or idle is worth waaaay more than being in feudal “on time” but then having to move your whole camp and/or losing 1-3 villagers in the process of moving your camp.

I just like huge fights i’m not playing aoe to fight villagers it’s just boring, not funny at all and pretty unfair in my oppinion. I prefer skills instead of abusing people. And you don’t need to garrison villagers to shoot it’s even more boring. Just continue this way and there gonna be 3 people playing the game

Everyone likes different things and this is not relevant what ever something is balanced or not. I don’t like playing against english, french or rus and I can say same. If those civs are not nerffed to ground to such level that no one plays them then the game will have not have any players left? So do you see now that how ridiculous you sound rn?

How someone is abusing anyone? If you don’t know how to defend against TR or BBQ rush then you lack the necessary skill to defend against it. Its no different from defending against ram rushes or any other form of aggression.

What you enjoy is sitting in your base for x amount of time and then do what you want and expect to your opponent just wait till you’re ready to fight and if someone interrupts your way of playing its boring / lame / op etc and doesn’t deserve to be in game. AOE4 is called RTS game and it should have multiple different levels of strategies and we have seen already in past how developers have over nerffed things which has lead to strategy to go away and never been able to used again.

Having huge fights after 15-20 minutes economical build up without any aggression isn’t really special and does not demand a significant amount of skill. Skill in RTS means activity or to do lots of things at the same time like attacking, defending, micro units, macro the economy while still making quality strategic decisions. Ideally this starts at the very beginning of the game so that activity and good decisions get rewareded. Players who do not like to do all those things at the same time usually also are inferior to very active players even when there’s only 1 big fight after xx minutes into the game. Reason is that good players are just used to do the multi tasking and do not stress out easily. Besides that the strategic depth of having huge armies clashing is highly overrated.

I don’t want it to be removed from the game just a safe zone around your tc where the ennemy takes more time to build anything. Or give us the militia like in aoe 3 that was perfect

If you make the chinese bbq rush weaker you will likely remove it completely as it seems to be a viable but certainly not OP strategy at the moment. Your already having a massive save zone around your starting TC. You can garrison 20 villagers inside your starting TC which massively buffs its firepower. Arrows are fired automatically and have a 100 % hitrate. Rams are very weak now and pre castle armoured units have a hard time under the TC as well.

I have no idea how this isn’t considered a save zone. If you want that massive save zone just play arena map and your fine.

One thing they could do is make so that when scouts are under influence of the TC they gain bonus damage against villagers, or maybe just increased damage overall, as long as they are close to the TC, once they leave TC radius they do their normal damage
