I might as well pitch in here to mention a card I always found underpowered - the Age 2 Mandarin Duck Squad. It’s an interesting card, but when you have the free 8 Chu Ko Nus card right next to it, it’s essentially just paying 500 food for an overpriced Flamethrower. If it had just 1-2 more Chu Ko Nus added then it would be more relevant imo.

500 food is actually cheaper than 170w + 170c. Flamethrowers had a bug that limited their damage before DE, so they might be more viable than people currently believe them to be.
Also become 400Food!!
I think china is already way too strong on fortress!!
The whole point of the civ is their units being weaker but cheaper!!
They already an insane mass on age 3 that is really hard to deal with, plus they don’t even need that many vills due to the amount of free stuff they get!!
All they need to do is z move and win
Also good luck trying to rush a good Chinese player!! He is going age 3 eventually and send intervention and all of that crazy stuff!!
