I think Britons is way too niche but I thought Celtic could be a cool one with lots to draw off from Irish and British stuff and also European Celts. The only thing is there might be a lot of similarity with Norse.
One of their units could be chariots. Have henges for temples which people could pray at for favour… that would be cool. Myth units would probably be quite similar to Norse but could have goblin warriors and that sort of thing maybe, fairies, etc.
I think your ‘gods’ could be more like Greek-style heroes maybe.

One that would be cool - would be something like Arabian mythology (based on Islamic mythology I guess), and there might be some similarity with Egyptians there also.

I guess it takes thousands of hours to even get close to making new gods though, and playing numbers of this game are only about 3000 per day it seems. I guess it just might not be worth it for them… having said that… they already have the whole basic system and so making a few new buildings and units might not take that long.

Yes, I think it is more likely to see AoEO Celts than Arthurian Britons… something like Celtiberians (think of Viriathus), Gauls (Vercingetorix and all the lore of Asterix) and Celto-Britons/Iceni (Boadicea)… probably Arminius too (including the Germanics as well) in a Celtic civic that spans from Hispania to Central Europe and in Eastern Europe you include the Slavs (what would be the pre-kyiv Rus era)…

Well, it’s simply an exercise in imagination where I propose a civ that has a part of Celtic traditions but differs from the Norse aesthetic, so I thought about the Arthurian Britons to also gain access to a new medieval-themed civ. Furthermore, with it we would have another medieval civilization alongside the Norse, mythology is not only in antiquity. Who doesn’t love knights, castles, unicorns, fairies and rainbows?
