Please no Florentines, Genoese, Vaticans, or Venetians. Those are all part of the Italian umbrella civ. The other ideas are fine. Another suggestion I would add to the list are the Kurds because it would be nice to once again, have more than 4 civs that use the ME building set.
Another person comparing a subcontinent with a quarter of the worldās population to some city states. Italians is fine, Sicilians is not necessary, Romans was anachronistic bloat. Thereās enough Italy in this game until we reach 200 civs and we start to add Malaccans, Teotihuacans, Kilwans etc. as well.
Thereās no reason to double down on bad ideas by the devs when weāre stil missing empires and cultures projecting over huge areas elsewhere (even after the Chinese DLC).
Italian split but no Milan?
I rather have a Milanese than Genoese.
Oh yeah sure my mistake, even the map I posted show how they integrated Veneto in 1866 and Rome in 1871.
Have you seen the size of India compared to Italy? In no way an Italian split is comparable to an India split. You still could split Dravidians, Gurjaras and Hindustanies one more time to get to the āsizeā of the Italian civ. Then, if Italians get city states, you can also get like 100 Hindustanies, Gurjara and Dravidian cities.
Honestly Venice is the only Italian city-state iād even consider splitting off, but even there iād rather they just get a little bit more obvious reference in the mainline Italian civ than being split off, personally.
