If you click the blue STOP button on Steam when AoE2:DE is starting/started, It makes your whole OS unresponsive and impossible to use.
This is an old issue but I have a gripe with it because I see it happen to streamers who’re quickly trying to restart their game and it crashes their PC.
It would be nice to get a confirmation on this because It feels like I’m just talking to ether, but be careful because you might have to restart your PC if it happens to you.
