I’m getting the same issue. I’ve only started up with it, so am working through campaigns, but I might finish one or two and then boom freeze and straight to Desktop.
32gb ram, RTX3080 Ti, Windows 11, i7-12700k (12th Gen) processor, 980 PRO PCIe 4.0 NVMe™ SSD 1TB.
I am having the exact same issue, I played season 1 before never had this issue at that time, came back in season 4 and having the issue since. Game freezes for 3-5 secs then just closes with no error. I checked event viewer too, no display driver crashes, just reliccardinal.exe crashes with the same exception code posted above. sometimes happens while loading, sometimes after 10mins into the game, sometimes 30mins, totally random. Really annoying as it makes ranked game loss even while winning. I have moved the game on a different HDD, wiped the documents/my games/aoe4 folder but still it crashes. I have ryzen 3600, geforce rtx 2060 super, 16gb ram.
I get random crashes too, maybe 1 in 10 games, sometimes will crash to the desktop or the game will freeze and cant do anything except restart the computer.

I have contacted support and submitted the logs, and also told the representative everything and they said they have forwarded everything to the dev team 
[FIX] - Possible Fix you should try.
Just uninstall every mod in your Mod-Browser. I my case one or more caused this crashes.
Its been now 2 weeks without a crash and i hope it will never happen again.

So, lately it’s getting worse, now I crash once every 2/3 games. The crash is exactly the same as I explained 4 months ago. I’ve tried every single suggestion people made and more. @SavageEmpire566 thank you for escalating, but so far I had 0 feedback from all the tickets I made and no official note regarding these common crashes in any patch note or official announcement. I don’t know how to solve this, please give this an higher priority, it’s a game breaking situation.

There are a couple reasons for this…one is that I really do care a lot! As a long-time-game-player myself, it means a lot to me when a dev at least acknowledges my issue.
Don’t give up! Unfortunately it is a very, very, very, very small amount of the player base that experiences this type of crash. I know it can seem like a lot because you’re experiencing it directly, and others that have a similar problem also vocalize. The more of you that contact support, the better. Not only because we get more data, but because bigger problems get more resources. Also please do remember that similar seeming crashes might actually be quite different. Data helps us sort this!
This thread is still open so you can still continue to make yourself heard here, as well as try to troubleshoot with others that may have found success. However, please do contact support if you are reading this and do experience crashes of any kind.
We’re squashing bugs with each and every patch, so hopefully one of them smooths over what you all need. Stick with us…we’ll get it eventually!
Im in crash city. At least 2 or 3 crashes a day. Game just abruptly crashes. Sometimes I get a microsoft whea error and bluescreen, but that could be anything. And I NEVER get a blue screen whea error if I am not playing Age of Empires 4, so its not like theres some hardware issue causing me to bluescreen. about 80% of my crashes are straight to desktop, game closes. I never had this problem before the big update that changed the way the game ran 
I am getting the same crashes lately.
It’s not all games it’s just once every 5 games.
I hope there’s a solution for this. This problems started after updates of the new graphic drivers. I hope this will help the devs.

Bonjour j’ai un problème je krach 2 partie sur 4 c’est horrible je suis sur xbox série x cela me renvoie dans l’accueil xbox et impossible de revenir dans la partie ,j’ai réinstallez le jeu 4 fois j’ai contacté le support mes rien n’y fait ,es ce que quelqu’un a le même problème que moi ? Cela commence à être horrible ça me fait 12 défaite pour rien je peu pas monter en classé ou jouer avec des ami vu que je krach merci de votre aide

I have exactly the same symptoms. I doubt the issue is related to my hardware. Same log, never had a crash in any other game on my PC. Windows 11, everything updated, 64gb ram, 3090, etc…
Its not a hardware issue from what I can tell. Only seems to happen in multiplayer games.

Exact same thing just happened to me. Similar specs to above.
I love this game but its become unplayable as every single game crashes.
