I’m intrigued – which blue roofs and green tiles?

I don’t know how common they were, but I thought they were very beautiful.

I think this photo oversells how blue it is. In other pictures of Château de Chenonceau the roof just looks dark grey. Other than that, to me this looks stylistically similar to the Imperial Age western European buildings and the Franks’ castle… which I don’t really like personally and I think are a bit late for AoE2, but each to their own I suppose.

Yeah I like the roofs because of the color; I don’t see anything particularly special about the construction.

I googled it, and it says that although it was standardized in the 1500s, these slate roofs were already used in castles and churches before, with special mention of Conwy Castle built by Edward I in the 1280s. I’m probably in the minority, but I would prefer this bluish-gray to the black of the Imperial Age buildings.

Royal precinct of the Tang court. We need ceramic, stone buildings for the Chinese not the wooden Japanese building set guys. The blue roofed houses and other buildings are too small aside from these major buildings sigh.

Yeah, a new Sinitic set for Chinese, Khitanguts, Vietnamese, and the 3K would be awesome. (Koreans perhaps too, though they do have some buildings similar to the Japanese style so they could stay the way they are I guess)

Edit: said Korean style: Hanok - Wikipedia

Are you really not have knowledge about east Asia culture architecture. It is combined by wood, stone, rock, and roof tile(_ying yang tile, and some other from Japanese, Viet
