well we all know this “bug” has been almost 2 year，So can the official make it clear whether this is a bug or a new type of unit
I really wish they would count as a heavy unit so they didn’t suck so bad. They sure look like one in their full suit of plate armour.
The thing is that the Condottiero and the Mali “Freeborn Warrior” are the only “Medium Infantry” units in the game.
Technically, they count as Shock Infantry of AoE2 or AoE3, a cavalry substitute without the weakness of pikemen against cavalry.
It seems the devs still don’t want to create the “Shock Infantry” or “Medium Infantry” subtype or consider ways to balance this new subtype; they’re still stuck with the current setup.
Well, I suppose they’ll have to do something, because the Viking Berserker and that unit with a sword and targa (Highlander charger???) of Scotts looks like they’re going to be Medium Infantry either.
