The game had always worked flawlessly for me ever since it’s release on game pass until the update a few weeks back. I haven’t been able to play a full game since the update was downloaded. I’m sure I’ve started in over 100 matches since then but the whole game freezer up within 30 mins, EVERY single time. Not even exaggerating, literally 100% crash rate since update. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the game 2 twice, erased all the prior saved games, and reset to default settings but nothing helps. The problem seems like it’s even gotten worse in the past few days based on how playtime before freezing.

Hello i have the exact same issue,but for me is like every 20 min freezes and only if i restart the game it will work for another 20 min.Such great game i have played with plesure every time and now i think i m so frustated that i will buy AOE 4 but i m afraid it will freeze also.PLEASE DO SOMETHING FOR THE PLAYERS!
This same update made the game unplayable under Linux+Proton.
When it first came out I noticed that the threads in charge of the graphics submission queue (either dxvk-cs or dxvk-submit) were using 80%+ CPU while the gpu was idle and the game menu struggled to push 5fps as I opened settings on a 7950X+7900XTX machine that can even run Crysis.
That is likely part of Proton, but the fact that it’s now misbehaving either exposes a bug on dxvk or it’s a clue on what changes to the game might have caused the massive performance regression.
I thought that a silly fix would come out a few days later, but it didn’t. Now I stopped playing for 2 months and wanted to try out and it hasn’t been fixed.
Hi I have got he same issues. I wrote to the suppert a lot of time and they
not answer when will this issues gonna be fix. This started whit the viking
dlc. At the begining this game was so cool. I tried everything to fix but it was useless. I bought every dlc and even AoE4 to. I warn you do not buy any games from them at all. There is no guarantee they not gonna fuck the game with updates. Sadly this people are very talentless. They gets our money . If im living in the USA i sue them. I think we can not back our money.
