Corsair Marksman Spotted in African Puzzles

Seem like the Devs wanted to give us the hint for this unit as in both of the pictures the unit is at a blindspot where you won’t be able to check it in 1 look. I love these types of challenges. Corsair Marksman which is one of the units (Skirmisher type of Barbary Rev, also part of the Historical Challenge) has been spotted twice. Does it mean we are getting the third civilization in the African Expansion!?

Wouldn’t be the first time we got a hint like this, remember when we saw a regular and carbine cav in a screenshot a month before usa came out?

Damn man you have an eagle eye, well the devs did a good job in hiding it.

Awesome find. Was hoping for a 3rd civ.

Won’t get my hopes up though until it is confirmed. I like these little hints.

Let’s say the chances for a 3rd civ are 50-50, I think that’s the most realistic expectation.

Hopefully we will get Zulus for now, and Morocco later with Oman and Persia.

There’s still some Euro civs that I’d love to see added on top of the ones you listed like Italians and Danes. Navajo or Apache could be interesting as well.

For the promotional screenshots they usually place units however they want to (like the different versions of the same archer unit) so that’s probably a hint.
Or they could also be some native units/mercs sent by cards.

Italians are good, and will be added, but Danes and Poles should come first from Europe, because they are much more significant.

This guy is also common in both the pictures:

Seems to be a mistake. Hausa and Ethiopia has nothing common.

maybe a mercenary unit?

Hausa was isolated from Europeans. Ethiopians met Ottomans and Portuguese. Very unlikely imo.

This looks more like an Arabic unit than an western-African one, but I know nothing about this region at this time period.

I hope the history buffs from this forum will makes things clear here.

I don’t want to bring you down, but in this DLC only 2 new civilizations are coming, which we already know.
On the other hand, the screenshots have thousands of recycled elements, but, look at the US, the units have recycled skins and dialogues. So, be careful with the things you see in those 2 images, we cannot guarantee anything.

There are no african homecity_units (performer, vendor, thug, fisher, entertainer, painter, policeman etc) roaming in the pictures.

i saw that guy and was kinda surprised considering he looks an awful lot like a beduin.
