An update at the end of the month? It’s unlikely, but not impossible. Maybe it’s a PUP before next month’s update.

This branch is updated every day in last couple of months.
It doesn’t mean patch is coming soon. It does only mean that devs are working.

Already happening, last year July PUP patchnotes comes out like in 1 August 2023

Nope, that depot has been updated daily for a couple of months now, but its not the one that updates when a patch is near. Those usually are tantalus_stable or updatepreview, but not fe-staging-final, sadly. At least not by itself.

The one positive to take away from this activity is that the game is being worked on whether it be DLC, patch, or both. It’s best to take solace in that because communication isn’t improving anytime soon as if there were ever any plans to improve it.
2DE and IV are rolling along as normal and that is what matters.

2 months of update for one server maintenance???
Branches are various (dev-)builds and independent from server maintenance. See AoE 1 DE for example (as that game runs on the same server system provided by Relic):

So if it is independent of maintenance, it means that you are working on something in the game, right? Could you tell us if it is a patch or something else?
