My nice friend KillaKarson and I completed the long trip challange to try to receive the nice penguin this winter, 12/13/2023; However, it appears we never received said penguin. Can we please have our penguin?

The in game description for the Long Trip/ Cozy Penguin event is wrong, it does not unlock when playing an empires wars match. You need to play a standard 2v2 multiplayer quick match against the AI.

I’m having the same problem, so I’m having a hard time.
