Creating Desktop Shortcut

I would like to create a Desktop Shortcut for AoE2:DE but cannot seem to find the executable (it does show up in the Start menu). The program does not show up in Programs under the Control Panel and does not appear under C:\Users\USERNAME\Games\Age of Empires 2 DE (hidden files is checked). I have searched the web with no results. Any ideas where I can find it.

Hi @MikeofOski, See below for instructions to create a desktop shortcut for either the Microsoft Store or Steam version of the game:

For Steam apps: If you right click the game in your library there is an option to create desktop shortcut.

For Microsoft Store apps: Run shell:AppsFolder then drag and drop the app icon onto your desktop to create a desktop shortcut.
