My custom scenario with data mod seems to crash seemingly at random since the last game update. I have rewatched the games in capture age to look for themes but I’m unable to identify much, other than the last two crashes are associated with the spawning of large numbers of units and the games both started to lag. I would appreciate any information from the mdmp files that might help clarify if the issue lies in a change I made or is to do with the update - I rolled back some changes to the mod but they didn’t seem plausible as cause. I don’t think anyone has completed a match since the update. To play the recorded games, you’ll need this mod:

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Download the mod
  2. Host multiplayer game with the included scenario and data mod
  3. Game crashes unexpectedly without a common pattern

The game would complete at around 54 mins in game time with no crashes.

After each update the data mods are outdated and need be recreated with the new data file

This is not my first rodeo…

So this is an odd one - I’ve worked out the crash was occurring when units such as a palisade gate were deleted due to the presence of a pile unit - however, I was under the impression that pile units should not spawn if a building is deleted, only if it is killed. So while I know the cause of the issue, I’m a little perplexed about this.

Would be cool if each update wouldn’t result in breaking of all mods
Or at least having an error message for why the game crashes
