I also miss the skeletons. I searched for a mod but couldn’t find any. Does anyone know if there is something available out there?

Thanks. I tried those modes but they keep the corpse for too long (5 min), and too much blood affects visibility. They also sink in a sudden. The skeletons in age ii were just more realistic, and gradually sunk

aoe 2 de is probably going on maintenance only sometime approximately 1 year after release, at least that is my expectation.
Devs need to make a living too and patches for an already sold produkt that is working fine enough are fruitless labor.
From only 3 moth balance patches, to 6 months then yearly soon.

I think it will get some support for another 5-7 years. Maybe not monthly balance patches (they’ll end in a year or two when the game is fully balanced)
Also, let’s not be super demanding, we are still at a global pandemic that has ruined lives
I still am waiting for any solution on the Decay and the Chat filter tho. I’ll never can tell when will those happen. I believe we need to reach for the FE team and not MS for that regard

The way to do it is to contact FE directly
For any reason, MS is not allowing those (which I believe is the PG-rating)
However, the majority of the playerbase are adults and a bunch of small-sized skeletons (which is in the game anyways) isn’t gonna harm 15 year olds imho

I always find it funny how many times someone tries to justify a change by saying something like this…
“hey devs just make this game less marketable so that we can have something that isn’t really that impactful” 
Like you guys think the devs never realised adults don’t play this? Or that some really vocal people wouldn’t like being censored from swearing?
Like really guys you will make your own lives easier if you start thinking about other people as well and stop thinking everything must only be the way you want it to be…

They are false advertising on the store page of the Enhanced Graphics Pack. I have a suspicion they did this to appease the Chinese government censors.

Interesting… maybe? I don’t recall the base game having skeletons and blood as is seen in this screenshot directly from Steam.

These alter characteristics of blood (duration, shape, etc). Crimson blood mod manipulates these.
You would have to alter data of graphics of unit types in game data file (make data mod) in order to decrease corpse decay time.

Which part is false advertisement again?
Are there skeletons in the game? That screenshot shows them, but I don’t think they’re in the game? I haven’t checked for a long time and have mod(s) installed.
If there aren’t any skeletons, I think saying ‘false advertising’ may be a little much as there’s probably a disclaimer somewhere saying content or graphics can change at any time; or it’s commonly known in the gaming industry, as such. But it could be a little misleading at least and bum some players out when they find the actual game doesn’t have decay
