Having a blank Default.xs file in scenario files can lead to out of sync issues with other scenarios or mods that also contain an XS file or script within the triggers.

100% of the time / matches I play (ALWAYS)

:arrow_forward: REPRODUCTION STEPS

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Upload a scenario with a blank Default.xs file
  2. Try playing another scenario or mod that also has an XS file.
  3. Watch the scenario/modding community burn

:arrow_forward: EXPECTED RESULT

There shouldn’t be conflicts between different scenarios or datasets.

We were not able to reproduce the issue. Could you clarify who has to have the blank Default.xs - host or client? Where did you place this .xs file, which folder? Is it a part of a local or subscribed mod or just a local scenario with a local .xs (under C:\Users<user name>\Games\Age of Empires 2 DE<ID>\resources_common\xs)? Also - some example scenarios may also be helpful.

Scenario creators informed me that this issue was addressed in the December patch. I attempted to reproduce it, but it didn’t work. Since I couldn’t find the report here, I assumed it wasn’t fixed. Thank you for your response.
