dear forum,
in the old age of mythology if you put the AI on defensive he will built walls and towers early but that doesn’t mean he never atacks you he usally atacks you in the late game. I’ve never seen that happen at age of mythology retold the defensive Ai just sits there. You might just not select him on defensive because it doesn’t do anything.
What difficulty did you try out?
Sounds similar to the complaints in this thread:
The AI never builds additional town centers.
Seems like the Easy AI is too easy.
Moderate difficulty because i was trying out new strategy
AI players don’t work at all in some maps. It happens that an army controlled by AI circles around its base or stands still.You can easily beat all level of AI i tried 20 x.They even build market in enemy territory…Old AI is far farrrrrrr more advanced and stronger !

It seems like the AI has some bugs that make it stuck in some very stupid behaviour.
I have seen the AI land troops via transports for example but I have also seen it have a transport just park in front of my base.
