The guaranas are the product of inflorescences, the fruits of the image are clearly not infructescences.
When a meristem is exhausted, it generates the inflorescence and then it generates the fruits all together.
PS: I am studying Agronomy.

I guess this image is not of a Guaraná, if it were, the “eye” would be bigger, to be more easily recognized.
