For Delhi Sultanate, the War Elephant can get the “Armored Beasts” upgrade (+25% HP and +4 ranged armor) and the Tower Elephant (including Sultan’s Elephant) can get the “Howdahs” upgrade (+30% HP and +4 ranged armor and crossbows). They can also get Biology from the University to get +20% cavalry HP.
Before, these stacked multiplicatively, but at some point, it changed to additive.
War Elephant:
- Before: 850 * (1.25 * 1.2) = 850 * (1.5) = 1275 (+50% HP)
- Now: 850 * (1 + 0.25 + 0.2) = 850 * (1.45) = 1232.5 (+45% HP)
Tower Elephant (and Sultan’s Elephant):
- Before: 600 * (1.3 * 1.2) = 600 * (1.56) = 936 (+56% HP)
- Now: 600 * (1 + 0.3 + 0.2) = 600 * (1.5) = 900 (+50% HP)
NOTE: This also affects Byzantines’ Mercenary War/Tower Elephant.
This was not in the patch notes, so I assume it was an unintended change.
