Destructability of Walls and Ships

EDIT: Ok I just checked in ROR and all the ships have animated oars which they dont in AOE1DE. So that’s at least a plus for AOE2.

Then why not in AOE2DE regular?

Don’t know. Lazyness? Also not all the ships in AOE2DE have oars. I think only a few do. But they could at least animate the sails.

Those that have them like Turtle ships, dromons, canoes, plus the sails should be animated. Longboats should have oars. Where are they?

They have sails though.

Yeah, it’s too bad. I have my settings on max non-UHD graphics, max sharpness, and map lighting off… and just turned on “no anti-alias” and it still looks like this. I zoom all the way out while playing, but the blurriness is still felt:

I’ve had object anti-aliasing ‘on’ for a long time, but I guess I will leave it off moving forward, as it makes things even more blurry/fuzzy with AA on:

I’m also curious why every object gets a black outline? Makes things look muddier and darker. It’s pretty thick, imo.

Yikes, sheep details are not so good up-close either.

I’m still longing for crisp ground shadows that are darker, too. AoE2:DE’s with all sharpness settings maxed, and AA disabled they are still blurry. Combine that with the above blurriness, and it helps make the overall game feel like it has a blur filter/overlay applied:
