For those who don’t know, this is a feature in AOE3DE. It’s definitely more useful there, due to the much larger variety of units, but it can also be quite useful in AOM too for searching units by type rather than alphabetically. Such as showing all myth units, or all ships. And it’s only gonna get more useful as more pantheons are added.

I would rather press C and look through the couple C starting units for myth unit I need rather than this. Current system is better.
How is that better? It would only show myth units with C in the name.
And will it still be betrer down the line when we have 50 new myth units and 50 new human units from expansions? Both Atlanteans and Chinese expansions had more than 25 new units each. So we’ll probably get more than 100 new units total after the upcoming confirmed expansions release.
Imagine how many units we’ll probably have after a third or fourth civ is added. Not to mention all the new myth units from all future god packs.
No but with your system if I press C, it goes to CAV, nowhere near cyclops. And if I press M and go to MYTH, then I have to scroll through 30+ myth units. Not to mention best part about AoM editor is that you can press D and then scroll up to find Cyclops since Y is really far in alphabets.
If they would add the tags at the end it would make it possible to filter by them but still jump to units based on the first letter.
