@Devs/Microsoft/World's Edge: Will aoe3de get a final patch?

Title says it.
We would just like to receive an official answer.

The only information we have is that the last dlc was cancelled.

Are patches or new dlcs coming in any time soon or is the game FULLY abandoned now?

They are just like this,half-asleep,lol.

So they don’t have any motivation and interest to update this.

you should consider it as such

Its in “maintenance mode” take to that what you will

I explained Here why I don’t believe they will announce it in advance if they are working on a patch.

If my assumptions are correct, which they may not be, they gain nearly nothing from announcing a patch, but risk losing the upside they might gain from actually developing a patch if they announce it before they have patch notes.

AOE3 DE had a awful beginning. When it released in 2020, there are a lot of bugs and many players gave bad comments in steam. Then when we come to the late 2024, W.E. gave us the last small patch, but also remains countless bugs. That’s a awful ending for AOE3 DE.

It is a poor baby.

It almost feels intentional how the company has ruined the game.
If they didn’t release it half-assed (from a technical standpoint), it would have kept a way larger playerbase from the beginning onwards, indeed.

Probably sold even better with following DLCs and they’d still be patching it.

But the greed of a quick release with quick cash, is, as always the reason to murder a game.

I guess political reasons come on top of this.
Hence they prioritize aom retold with LESS (!!!) playernumbers now.

Imagine aoe3de got all that support and all the technical updates aomr got…

My god, the game would now be having at least twice of the current playerbase.

It is intentional!
It always have been
They hate this game so much that they would rather ruin it than sell it to another company that would take care of it

Because player engagement was not as expected after WE had always acted as if there would be no player engagement, WE concluded it would be more profitable to double down on that decision.

No, the game was officially abandoned in January, and the 3DE devs moved on to AoMR and AoE 4, and I did the same… At most, you’re left with mods like Age of the World or Age of Pirates if you want to play with new civilizations…

I played aoe4 for a small while and honestly could not get myself to like the game as much.

After getting conqueror 1 in 1v1 and almost conqueror 3 in 2v2, I just left out of boredom.

The game feels incredibly shallow and empty, robotic and static compared to the dynamic aoe3 which offers so much more variety in strategic play and so much more use of brain is needed, unlike aoe4 where you mostly need apm. Boring as fuck.

So I’m back to aoe3de now.

Desperately hoping that the Devs come to their minds and support the best game of the series → Aoe3de again!

I stopped caring about AoE4 when they went full variant civs and competitive focus when AoE3DE is enjoyable on skirmish more than the rest of the series.

I quit shortly after the first variant civs were released.

Way too many matchups, too many civs to play ranked.

You gotta be unemployed to study all the matchups and more cancer civs keep being added every year.
