Please, I like the crossplay idea, but if i go for ladder, i want to decide if my enemy get auto eco or not. I dont wanna play against players with advantages or disadvantges, anyway what it is.
I love this game so much and spent too much time in it. And I do it again. But this takes me a bit off. I want only a option for it. WHY console players can decide, and PC not??
most other games with crossplay can decide that.
I dont wanna complain about who has better advantages or not, I want decide. So I see everywhere crossplay. Great, Another thing to get patronized.

Im fairly sure that you can turn off cross-platform in the options. I’ve seen that in a video clip, should be for both platforms.
I don’t play age of empires 4 but I can confirm that in aoe 2 no controller player is realistically going to run cross play because they are at a disadvantage. Those that want to see how high they can climb using a controller on cross play I can guarantee won’t be using auto eco. It’s good for low level so you can concentrate elsewhere but it is absolutely not an advantage. Those vills will leave their farms or wood cutting to collect that gold even if theirs 100 arbs stood on it because all of your miners are dead. Honestly if aoe 4 is even remotely similar to aoe 2 nobody competitive is using auto eco and most likely not even playing cross play.
