The game has space for a few more civs
In my opinion Swiss and Poles are a must, and Indians may need to split in several factions
But it is not like we need every duchy, realm, tribe or dinasty that we can think of

Nubians weren’t a kingdom or a major power during Islam. Arabs invaded Makuria in the 1300s then the religion changed. The major East African powers were the Ethiopians, the Somalians and the Sudanese. Sudanese were the Funj and Daju. Funj were allied with the Christian Portuguese and Ethiopians.
Looking forward to the Cherokee Empire
Look at that big gaping hole where Tibet should be.
Big hole where Bohemians, Poles and Serbs belong too
Not having Tibet will give Microsoft more money than having it, so it will never be added.
I ask for Tibet. The CCP does not care if a game had Medieval Tibet, they only care for the 20th century depiction.
How can you be certain
I have people from china with which I talk too, and they still teach that the Tibetans had an empire in the Middle Ages, and that China ended up annexing it.
Maybe if they had a campaign where China wins they will add it
That would be a strange campaign. The campaign would likely have Tibetans as the aggressor civ, which Chinese would then use to justify their invasion in History.
It would also be historically accurate. Tibet invaded them first, and then got beaten.
The Mongols campaign already dunks on China too, and no one cares.
But Mongol self determination is not a contentious issue in China today.
It actually is starting to become one.
CCP officials are starting to senounce the Yuan dynasty (mongol conquerors) as another time of national humiliation that still needs reparations.
They even want Mongolia to cede land to China, which they say was always chinese from the start.
Ok but it is nowhere near as big an issue as Tibet is. Basically Tibet and Taiwan are the 2 biggest security and sovereignty related issues in China right now.
They still would not care for a Tibetans civ that lived until the 12th century.
EU4 only got banned because they had Tibet as an independant state in the 20th century.
EU4 end date is 1821
Sorry it was Hearts of Iron that got banned, a similar game, from the same developer.
there are nearly twice as many mongol population in china today than in sovereign mongolia
Yea? And how many of them want to break away from China to the point where they have their own government in exile?
Hmm I have no idea about that.
Ah. The Middle Eastern building set isn’t only representative of an Islamic civilization. It can also be represented of a non-Islamic civilization that was in the Middle East or had architecture set resembling Middle Eastern architecture.
