Just like Shift-1 add selected units to a control group.
Id like a way to quickly remove selected units from a control group.
They could just add that alt-1 alt-2… does this. This would be a very simple feature to add to the game that probably takes less than 1 day to code (probably more to go through the testing pipeline)
So the idea is that if i want to send one of my horse to a specific location like a sacred site and remove it from group 2, all i would need to do is
I’m not sure about why they did exactly, my guess is that you bind the group with ctrl, so ctrl+alt is just a modification on that… but as far as I can tell no keys are bound to Alt+# by default.
True, I currently have exclusive ctrl groups on, and use Alt alone to just remove selected units from a group, in case I send them to raid or something and don’t want them to come back by accident.
But thinking of switching to non-exclusive ctrl groups, because I hate moving out with my army that’s on 3 different groups. I wanna have a ctrl group for the whole thing as well.
I set up my control group hotkeys to do this, so that it’s similar to SC2.
I set “remove unit from all control groups” to alt.
Then I set “add selected units to control group” to ctrl + #, and then the alternate hotkey for it to alt + #.
This way, when I press alt + #, when I’m hitting the keystrokes it deletes from pressing alt, then adds them to the new control gropu # when I press the number in one smooth motion.
