Did we ever find out what the unspecified DLC file from September was?

I might have just missed it, but did we ever get any verification that the unspecified…what was it, DLC7? file was Chronicles or if it is a different DLC that hasn’t been specified yet? At this point I kinda assume it was just Chronicles but I don’t think I ever saw any confirmation on that.

Yes, the unnamed DLC file from september was BFG

Ok. Thank you for verifying that!

I had to look BFG up as it relates to AoE2  Normally, that acronym applies to FPS games

If anyone also temp forgot the recent DLC’s name, Chronicles “Battle for Greece” is what is being referred to.

For those who have played both V&V and BFG… if I get free time and want to play some campaign DLC, should I buy and play BFG? or should I play my already-purchased V&V? (BFG looks be be 25% off right now (Steam Winter Sale). But I can wait until maybe a Summer 2025 sale or Winter 2025 sale to get BFG if I should just play V&V.)

I normally play SP/MP vs. AI skirmish games, that’s why I am in no rush. Campaign stuff isn’t usually my thing, so when I play, I’d rather choose the more entertaining and rewarding DLC to play

BfG is a legit good DLC. If not the best they ever made. Legit step up from V&V and also from the traditional DLCs. Although its not available for ranked(might change in future depending on balance changes and more Chronicle era civs coming out). If PvP is your main thing but not campaigns then yeah better to skip it.
Campaign has better narrative and new unique reward system which spices up the gameplay more.

Thanks! I don’t really do PvP… only PvAI. So maybe BFG will be good to try
