DLC Concept-Heroes of the Kingdom

The concept of this DLC is a campaign featuring heroes who have defended their country against great powers.

There’s also a new civilization.

Anyway, I thought about civilizations that need campaigns.
I think this game is important to have a campaign where you can see the heroes’ narratives.

Other than that, I think Turks, Jurchens and Khitans also need a campaign.

Thank you for reading

sounds good. probably needs to be named something else as “Heroes” is a bit of a controversial topic at the moment? 11

I am not a fan of having a single civ in a DLC. it means that multiplayer peeps need to pay for a lot of content, but get only one civ out of it. Discussions can also be had if Albania was a big enough power to justify being added to aoe2.

I think a DLC that’s just campaigns would be better (if priced appropriately).

Really cool starting idea! Aëtius is a great pick, and I’d love to see you expand it further. Maybe even explore stories outside Europe&Asia – like native heroes in the Americas defending their people against colonizers. That could make the concept truly unique

Of course, it would be good if various civilizations became more of a theme.
I don’t know much about American civilization, but other gamers would know

FYI, it’s not a DLC like “Victors and Vanquished.” It’s a feature campaign with five to six scenarios.

Protectors of the Realm. As all fought defensive wars.

Maybe add a Romanians civ as well? Since that would be a better fit for the Dracula civ than the current assortment of civs.

That’s a good idea, but then we’re going to need a separate DLC that’s going to divide Slavic civilizations into several, like India.

I think if any Euro civ needs a split it’s the Celts, for Slavs I think a rename would suffice. I think Europe is already overrepresented.

I think Serbs are needed for the Slavs as well, but that’s the only Slavic civ we need left. I do think bundling a Serbs civ with a Vlachs/Romanians civ, and a rename (and campaign) for the Slavs civ would be a solid DLC though…

Indeed, then rename the Slavs to Ruthenians and done, as they’ll have been properly split/expanded over the years.

Also give the Slavs/Ruthenians a new castle model as they currently have Marienburg, a teutonic castle from Prussia now in Poland…
