DLC SUGGESTION: THE HORSE LORDS!

If I would choose I would choose Scythians they fit better into AoE1 timeline than Huns. Huns were important only in last years of end of Classical Age.

I think good selection would be Celts, Germanic tribes, one Indian Civilization and Scythians.

The Huns were decisively defeated by the Western Roman Empire. The empire of the Huns disintegrated after Attila’s death.
Antiquity ended with the disintegration of Western Rome.

What was your inspiration for the name you chose for the expansion? Sounds pretty cool.

Lord of the Huns, Attila was called the Whip/Scourge of God.

Both of these DLC adding Barbarian civilizations could offer unique barbarian mechanics. In addition, it would be nice if the creators would increase the asymmetry between the groups of civilization even in the slightest way - each group of architecture would be slightly more unique, not only in terms of architecture. In addition, the developers could create additional unique architecture styles for the civs already present in the game.

The White Huns attacked Persia and India and the Xiongnu attacked China. The Huns would make sense to be added to the AOE1DE, with addition of an Indian civilisation.

It would be nice if someone does this, or some mod with new content. The developers never will.

There are already many ideas, they just need to be executed.

If you want your dlc to focus on horse civs and Central Asia + the neighboring regions, maybe Armenians and Dahae could fit into it.

I’ve heard of Armenians, but what are Dahae?

A confederacy of nomadic Iranian people who lived in Central Asia near the Seleucid Empire until one of the constituent tribes, the Parni, took over not only the confederacy but also Persia, forming Parthia.

I see. That would fit well if we also got a Persia/Middle East DLC.

This game deserves a little more love. It’s amazing how beautiful it is, which is why it raised expectations so much for AOE-4’s graphics. I hope AOE-5 is focused on classic antiquity and has a style inspired by this game.

I think in those days there was the fever of the US civilization so it seemed to be falling when in reality it was returning to its usual mass of players.
