DLSS and FSR 2 support

Lately more Microsoft games added support for them e. g. Forza Horizon 5 last patch. Would you like to see them implemented in AOE III? The game does get decently taxing on high settings on 4k. It would be beneficial not only from a FPS perspective but also from an energy consumption one at higher resolutions and since the game already supports TAA it should be decently easy to implement.

  • Add DLSS and FSR 2.0
  • No need

Some form of modern HDR support may be nice too, though it sounds like HDR on PC is still unstandardized and unstable. AoE4 launched with HDR support, but I have seen zero report on its quality.

Good news; they’ve already been working on this for some time, as can be spotted in the game files:

while i don’t oppose either, i think personally the game outside of 4K, depending on hardware, runs fine, what i want to see is if it helps for really low end gpus, aka what FSR can achieve, DLSS isn’t supported on hardware that would benefit the most anyway

I have to agree, I play on 4k with 1660TI mobile and it works fine.
However, DLSS might be useful for large scale treaty games (which I don’t play).

large scale treaty is more so cpu bound, so hard to say how big the gain would be with either solution

any performance enhancements would be welcomed I reckon

A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.

what matters here is, its not a question if it will ever happen, we know from files, as pointed out above, that its coming
