No, it somehow shows your nation, even if you dont select a country in steam and set these options as private in steam. I have no idea on how these sites get the nations.

Who reads the MS agreement until the part that says “third party sites can get all ur data and yeet it in a more accessible place lol”. Can be pretty disturbing to find out this way. And while your records/game data being online is mostly harmless those sites do disclose your nationality publicly, which, you can imagine, some people don’t like.

That is what i mean: You agree with with third parties using your data.

That still doesnt solve the issue: How do they get your nationality?

Yup it’s not Steam, the sites still see right through the fake country I set up on my account. Surprisingly it’s not MS either, because when I looked around on AoEnexus tons of players who somehow didn’t get their nationality revealed are on the Microsoft store version.

That’s odd because I’ve never played the game from the country it shows for me. I suspect then that it takes info based on where you purchased the game from. I bought the game with a credit card issued from another country – this country matches the fake country in my steam and of the bank where the CC was issued.

Its from your ip address. If you use a vpn you can have them think your from somewhere else. With that vpn info they could get alot closer then country if they wanted.
