Does Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition - Return of Rome have all the campaigns of the original?

I was wondering if the AOE2 DLC Return of Rome actually has all the campaigns from the original now? I really enjoyed those old campaigns.

Ascent of Egypt Learning Campaign

Voices of Babylon

Glory of Greece

Yamato Empire of the Rising Sun

Reign of the Hittites

No, the only original campaigns are:

  • Ascent of Egypt Learning Campaign
  • Voices of Babylon
  • Glory of Greece
  • The first punic war (I think the 1st mission is like the old rise of rome, nlt like aoe1DE)

And there are 3 new campaigns instead.

So no Yamato or Hittites campaign.

Some modders have been working on porting the missing campaigns, which is fantastic news for Age of Empires 1 fans like myself. Personally, I began recreating the unique scenarios “Bronze Age art of war” and “The last stand” from the original AOE1 demo—scenarios that were completely overlooked in Age of Empires: Definitive Edition. When I first discovered them, I thought they were cool enough to deserve a proper revival, so I started working on them with the hope that they could eventually be played and enjoyed through Return of Rome.

That’s awesome. I’m totally in for that.

Hopefully they will include this as official content someday.
