In some masteries, it specifies what kind of victory you have to achieve (e.g., “Horn and Sinew” wants a landmark victory). What if the opponent(s) surrender before you can reach any of the other conditions.
If your opponent surrenders/drops from the game, its considered a landmark victory always. The game sees it as there landmarks going neutral = destroyed.
Sacred site victory’s or Wonder victory’s can only happen if the opponent is still in game when the requirements are met . aka holding all sacred sites with the timer reaching 0 or same for Wonders.
For quests with wonder victories or sacred site victories thats actually super annoying
True… had to do these against AI, because most players resign 10 seconds before wonder victory or sacred.
